Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter for ten years, commented on the new series about the young wizard, which will premiere on HBO in 2027. The actor discussed the reboot with his colleagues from the original trilogy — Emma Watson and Rupert Grint — and shared his emotions.
Emotions from the New Series
Radcliffe noted that watching young actors embark on the journey he once took feels surreal. He said:
“You just look at pictures of these kids and want to hug them. I think that’s an impulse that everyone feels.”
For him, this became an opportunity to rethink his own experience:
“When you’re 11 and you’re doing something, you think, ‘Of course, I’m old enough to do this.’ But now, when I meet 11-year-olds, I realize, ‘Wow, this seems crazy.’”
He expressed special gratitude to the parents who supported him throughout the exhausting filming with humor and understanding.
