If household chores are already behind you and the weekend promises to be cozy, the Paramount+ service offers several time-tested stories. From harsh confrontations in the depths of Oklahoma to philosophical reflections aboard a spaceship.

These three series are capable of satisfying the most discerning viewer.

"Tulsa King"

Taylor Sheridan has created the perfect crime drama with elements of dark humor, where the lead role is brilliantly played by Sylvester Stallone. His character, Dwight "The General" Manfredi, is an old mafia captain who, after 25 years behind bars, receives a "posting" to provincial Tulsa instead of the respect he deserves from his bosses.

Dwight is not planning to retire. Armed with old-school principles, he begins to build his own empire in a world where the rules of the game have long changed. This is a story about the clash of eras, family traumas, and a charismatic leader who proves that true strength does not depend on age. Currently, three seasons (29 episodes) are available.

"Star Trek: Picard"

For fans of science fiction, Sir Patrick Stewart's return to the role of Jean-Luc Picard has been a true event. The action takes place two decades after the events of "The Next Generation." We meet the legendary retired admiral, who leads a quiet life on a French vineyard, but the past does not let him go.

When a mysterious young woman seeks his help, Picard sets off into space again, acting outside the official protocols of Starfleet. The series offers a deeper, psychological look at the familiar hero, and in the final seasons, it provides touching encounters with other legends of the franchise. A total of three seasons (30 episodes) have been produced.

"The United States of Tara"

This black comedy from writer Diablo Cody is a true acting showcase for Toni Collette. She plays Tara Gregson, an ordinary mother and artist suffering from dissociative identity disorder. After stopping her medication, Tara "unleashes" her alternative personalities: from a 1950s housewife to a brutal Vietnam veteran.

The series masterfully balances between awkward comedic situations and the deep drama of a family learning to live in chaos. Special mention goes to young Brie Larson as the main character's daughter. The project has a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes and consists of 30 episodes.
