The Guardian published an anti-rating of 12 films that film critics deemed the most unsuccessful in 2025.
The list includes the tragicomedy "Saturday Night Show" by Jason Reitman — according to critic Peter Bradshaw, the film turned out to be lengthy and chaotic. Also making the anti-rating are the musical "Snow White," the film "Recipe for Happiness" presented at Cannes, the action movie "Alpha," the film "Verif," and the crime comedy "Bank Heist 2: High Stakes" starring John Travolta. Critics also gave negative reviews to the animated film "Bug Boy — Jungle Superhero," the drama "Jay Kelly" starring George Clooney, and the continuation of the franchise "Tron: Ares."
Completing the list are the action film "Alarum" by Michael Polish featuring Sylvester Stallone, the French film "Mr. Blake at Your Service!" with John Malkovich, and the Christmas story "Christmas Karma."
In the opinion of reviewers, these works suffer from weak acting and tedious storytelling, with some being characterized as meaningless.
