Yura Borisov to Star in New Film by Luca Guadagnino 0 9

According to Variety, Yura Borisov, an Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actor for Sean Baker's film "Anora," has joined the cast of Luca Guadagnino's new film "Artificial." The film will be produced for Amazon MGM. The screenplay was written by Simon Rich, who will also serve as a producer alongside David Heyman, Jeffrey Clifford, and Jennifer Fox. The project is described as a "comedic drama about the world of artificial intelligence."

In "Anora," Borisov played in English for the first time, portraying Igor—a kind-hearted mercenary. For this role, he was nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe, SAG, Critics’ Choice, and Independent Spirit Awards. The film won five Oscars and became a sensation of the season.

Among Borisov's upcoming projects is Emily Mortimer's directorial debut "The Poet" for A24 and the Netflix series "Anna K.," a Russian-language adaptation of "Anna Karenina."
