In the US, a cat started a kitchen fire and nearly burned itself: all pet owners need to remember this danger

In the American state of Texas, a pet cat caused a fire in a residential home and found itself in danger. The incident occurred in the kitchen and was recorded by surveillance cameras, reports Fox News.

According to the footage, the animal jumped onto the kitchen stove and accidentally turned on one of the burners. Nearby were items that quickly caught fire, after which the flames began to spread. Feeling the heat, the cat immediately jumped down to the floor and left the dangerous area.

Meanwhile, the flames spread to the ceiling and the kitchen door. Firefighters arrived on the scene and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze. Thanks to their prompt response, the fire did not spread to other rooms in the house.

After extinguishing the fire, fire service personnel reminded about safety measures in the kitchen. According to them, flammable items, including paper towels and plastic containers, should not be left on the stove. It is also important to always check if the burners and oven are turned off, not to leave cooking unattended, and to maintain cleanliness.
