What to do if the seedlings are getting leggy?

The growth of seedlings can be slowed down before planting in the ground.

If the seedlings are growing too vigorously, their development can be slowed down. It is recommended to reduce the volume and frequency of watering, as well as to move the containers with seedlings to a dark and cool place. Additionally, it is advisable to refrain from fertilizing the seedlings.

Large seedlings can be planted in the ground "lying down" so that the roots of the plants are closer to the surface of the soil.

Before planting, it is necessary to dig a trench of appropriate size in the bed and remove the leaves from the stems of the seedlings for about two-thirds of their length. "Lying down" seedlings require abundant watering.
