Foods to Activate the Brain: What Helps Increase Mental Productivity

The doctor discussed which foods contribute to effective work and successful exam passing.

Which foods contribute to improved brain function?

To impress those around you with your intellectual abilities and solve problems quickly, it is not enough to just study hard. According to nutritionist Marina Sorokina, regular consumption of certain foods can significantly strengthen memory and accelerate cognitive processes.

The specialist identified five groups of natural "stimulators" of brain activity:

Fatty sea fish (salmon, mackerel, herring, etc.). It contains vitamin D, phosphorus, zinc, and protein, which positively affect not only overall health but also the functioning of individual organs and systems. The nutritionist emphasizes that to achieve the desired effect, it is necessary to consume fatty fish at least twice a week.

Green leafy vegetables (spinach, kale, broccoli, sorrel, etc.). These foods are rich in nutrients beneficial for the brain: vitamin K, lutein, folic acid, and beta-carotene. Moreover, they effectively help in the prevention of dementia.

Berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc.). Berries contain many flavonoids that positively affect memory and cognitive functions. Following such a diet, a person will never feel neglected or unhappy.

Walnuts. It is no coincidence that they resemble the human brain! These nuts are high in protein and healthy fats. Additionally, they contain omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins B, C, PP, as well as iron, iodine, magnesium, zinc, and copper. All these substances contribute to enhanced mental abilities and activity, ultimately making you more successful than your colleagues.

Dark chocolate. Cocoa is one of the most beneficial foods for brain and nervous system health. With such a tasty "boost," any exam or project defense will turn into a pleasant conversation with like-minded individuals.
