A regular hot dish made from pumpkin and oatmeal can not only alleviate abdominal discomfort but also reduce the risk of developing intestinal cancer. This was reported by therapist and TV presenter Elena Malysheva along with gastroenterologist Igor Gorodokin.
Specialists have recommended paying attention to a soup that includes pumpkin, oatmeal, and ginger. According to doctors, the combination of these ingredients positively affects the functioning of the digestive system.
A gastroenterologist explained that pumpkin contains pectin. This is a type of fiber that helps normalize stool and reduce abdominal pain. Thanks to this component, the dish helps alleviate unpleasant symptoms related to the intestines.
Oatmeal, in turn, is rich in coarse dietary fibers. As noted by the specialist, such fibers are associated with a reduced likelihood of developing colorectal cancer. The regular presence of such products in the diet is considered a factor in supporting gut health.
Previously, nutritionist Svetlana Kovanova also highlighted the benefits of soups in the diet. She emphasized dishes with chicken, beans, and lentils, which are filling, promote weight loss, and do not place excessive strain on the stomach.
