Endocrinologist Maria Kaloshina explained how to have dinner correctly to avoid gaining extra kilograms.

According to her, it is advisable to consume low-fat foods in the evening: sea fish, vegetables, cottage cheese, and white meat. Whole grain pasta or cereals are suitable as a side dish. Adding oil in moderate amounts is allowed.

Foods should preferably be eaten boiled, baked, or steamed. Dinner should be no later than two to three hours before sleep.

The doctor also recommended thoroughly chewing food — this speeds up digestion. One should avoid distractions like watching television or scrolling through social media, as this can cause one to miss the brain's signal of fullness.
