Therapist A. Agaeva compared the benefits of black and green tea.

According to the doctor, both types of tea are equally beneficial. Studies show that regular consumption of this beverage reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, strokes, and cognitive impairments. This is attributed to the presence of substances with antioxidant properties that improve vascular elasticity.

A healthy adult can drink 3–4 cups of tea a day. However, in cases of hypertension, increased anxiety, or sleep disturbances, the number of cups should be reduced to 2–3, and the beverage should primarily be consumed before noon, the doctor specified. During pregnancy and lactation, it is recommended to limit intake to 2–3 cups per day, the specialist added.

Additionally, Agaeva dispelled the popular myth about the prohibition of re-steeping tea bags. According to her, this is permissible, although the taste and benefits are noticeably reduced.
