According to the specialist, the first step is to eliminate or at least minimize the addition of sugar and artificial sweeteners to the drink. Additionally, the doctor recommended avoiding industrial creamers due to their high content of harmful fats.
The doctor also advised preferring filtered coffee, as it contains significantly fewer substances that raise blood cholesterol levels. As alternatives, she mentioned instant, ground, and decaffeinated coffee.
Drinking coffee, she said, is better done before 12:00 PM to avoid impairing sleep quality. Furthermore, this drink stimulates gastrointestinal motility, so people with such issues should plan its consumption wisely.
