Finland extradited to Latvia three Serbian citizens suspected of armed robbery of the Baltic Watches store in Old Riga. This was reported by the State Police. The robbery of the exclusive watch store took place in April 2025.
They are currently in custody at the Central Prison in Riga.
The investigation into the criminal case regarding this theft has been completed. The State Police has urged the prosecutor's office to initiate criminal proceedings against three suspects for the theft of watches and the intentional destruction and damage of another's property.
Another suspect in the robbery has been placed on an international wanted list, and his identity has been established. Law enforcement agencies continue the search for the stolen watches.
On April 29, the Baltic Watches exclusive watch store in Old Riga was robbed — the criminals used firearms or objects resembling them. One person was injured during the robbery and was taken to a medical facility.
In just a few minutes, they stole about 80 watches, causing damage of approximately 690,000 euros.
As part of international cooperation, law enforcement agencies established that the robbery was committed by four men from Serbia — aged under 30.
They were found in Finland — where they were preparing for a similar crime.
The State Police reported that as a result of active cooperation with other EU countries, as well as with the support of liaison officers from Europol and Eurojust, operational and investigative measures were carried out, allowing for the exact location of the wanted individuals to be established. In October of this year, three members of the group were detained in Finland.
