Vladimir Putin inspected three new Russian airplanes in Zhukovsky, near Moscow, and held a meeting where he tried to find out when these airplanes would start flying. At the Gromov Flight Research Institute (LII), he was greeted by three brand new (or rather, relatively new) airplanes: Superjet 100 (import substitution has been claimed by the developers for everything except the name), Il-114-300, and MS-21.

— For Russia, the aviation industry, as we all understand well, is of special significance, — said the president at the meeting in the Gromov LII. — The state of this industry directly affects transportation links, the connectivity of regions in our vast country, and the speed and convenience of citizens' movement. Importantly, the ability to independently create the entire range of military and civilian aircraft is one of the key indicators of the country's technical, scientific, and industrial sovereignty. Indeed, few countries possess such unique competencies, and Russia is among them.

— We, of course, have helped, are helping, and will continue to help the aviation industry, — the president promised, — but personal responsibility and accountability for results, deadlines, and quality will undoubtedly always remain high.

Meanwhile, recently, the airline "Rossiya" grounded two passenger SSJ-100s after an emergency engine malfunction at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow. This was reported by the telegram channel SHOT.

According to the channel, the first aircraft, flying from Moscow to Kazan, experienced severe vibration from one of its engines while taxiing from the terminal and returned to the parking area, continuing to move with one operational power unit. There were 79 passengers on board, and no one was injured.

The second SSJ-100, which arrived from Nizhny Novgorod, soon after landing issued a warning about high engine vibration, prompting the crew to also shut it down and proceed to the parking area with one unit. Later, specialists identified damage to the brackets securing the pipelines of the high-pressure turbine clearance control system.

Both aircraft have been temporarily withdrawn from operation. A special commission is being formed in Rosaviatsiya to investigate the circumstances of the incidents and assess the technical condition of the aircraft.
