13 floors and 1240 rooms: a giant resort hotel has opened on the Baltic Sea. But therein lies the problem.

In the Polish town of Pobierowo, the largest hotel on the shores of the Baltic Sea has opened its doors to guests, reports Bild. Its area is 180,000 square meters, featuring 1240 rooms and 13 floors.

The five-star hotel belongs to the Gołębiewski chain. Rooms can already be booked here, with prices starting at 350 euros per night. A suite will cost a maximum of 900 euros per night.

However, there is a catch: of the 1240 rooms, only 500 are currently ready. Each room is about 50 square meters; many have balconies, but not all offer a sea view.

According to marketing director Marta Masłowska, more than 2000 bookings were made within the first 24 hours. Not everyone will have the chance to admire this mega hotel this summer. Those who are lucky enough to secure a room will have to walk just 150 meters to the sunny beach of the Baltic Sea.

Right in front of the hotel is a swimming pool that is 104 meters long and 60 meters wide. But that's not all: guests can look forward to a water park, indoor pools, jacuzzis, a children's area, and a sauna. Additionally, water slides and a salt cave are planned.

It is still unknown whether all these attractions will be ready for launch. According to Bild, in addition to the wellness area, the hotel plans active leisure for adventure lovers: climbing walls, a cinema, bowling, a supermarket, volleyball courts, a disco, and entertainment programs for children.

Music lovers will be able to enjoy live piano performances in the lobby.

The idea for the mega hotel belongs to the late entrepreneur Tadeusz Gołębiewski. He started his journey as a waffle baker, then founded the Tago confectionery factory in 1972, and later created a hotel empire.
