The state joint-stock company "Latvijas dzelzceļš" (LDz / Latvian Railway) will offer five real estate properties for auction in Riga, Daugavpils, and Rezekne with a total starting price of 1.03 million euros, LETA reports, citing a publication in the official publication "Latvijas vēstnesis."
In Riga, LDz will offer to purchase a utility building on Kronu Street. The starting price of the auction is set at 412,665 euros.
In Daugavpils, LDz will auction real estate on Mihoels Street with a starting price of 258,539 euros, which includes an administrative building and related engineering structures. Additionally, 13 air conditioners are offered for purchase, priced at 170 euros each.
Also in Daugavpils, LDz will offer real estate on Andreja Pumpura Street — a recreation house for locomotive crews with a sewage network, water supply, and heat pipeline. The starting price is 182,445 euros.
In Riga, a property on Rencenu Street will be offered with a starting price of 138,684 euros, which includes a service building, a boiler house, and related engineering structures, while in Rezekne, an administrative building of the railway police with a garage will be available for 38,664 euros.
The auctions will begin on April 15 at 13:00 and end on May 15 at 13:00.
As previously reported, the turnover of the LDz group last year, according to preliminary data, amounted to 201.189 million euros, which is 13.9% less than in 2024, while losses decreased fivefold to 7.823 million euros, according to information published by the company.
During the reorganization last year, LDz's subsidiary — LLC "LDz Cargo" — merged with the subsidiaries LLC "LDz ritošā sastāva serviss" and LLC "LDz loģistika" in October 2025. The LDz group also includes "LatRailNet", responsible for establishing infrastructure fees and distributing the capacity of the railway infrastructure, as well as the security company "LDz apsardze."
