The price of natural gas dropped by 20% on Wednesday after the U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday, LETA reported citing AFP.
On the Dutch Title Transfer Facility (TTF) exchange, the price of natural gas fell to €42.5 per megawatt-hour on Wednesday.
As reported, the U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire on Tuesday, about an hour before the expiration of the ultimatum issued to Iran, and Tehran agreed to temporarily reopen the Strait of Hormuz to shipping.
Iran characterized this ceasefire as its victory and announced that it had agreed to negotiations with the U.S., which will begin on Friday in Pakistan, regarding a path to end the war.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks.
