Fuel Prices in the EU Reach New Highs

Handelsblatt: in Germany, the price of a liter of Super E10 gasoline has risen to €2.235.

Germany has faced another surge in fuel prices to new highs. This was reported by the publication Handelsblatt.

According to its data, on Monday, April 6, the average price for a liter of Super E10 gasoline rose by 6.6 cents to €2.235. As for diesel fuel, it increased to €2.487 per liter.

In this regard, the publication reminded that on March 30, the average daily price for Super E10 fuel across the country was €2.087 per liter, while for diesel fuel it was €2.295.

Earlier, the General German Automobile Club reported a sharp increase in diesel fuel prices. It turned out that on April 2, the price for a liter of this fuel rose to €2.346, marking a record high since March 2022.

At the end of March, European Commissioner for Energy Dan Jørgensen stated that the authorities of EU countries need to start preparing now for prolonged disruptions in the supply of key energy resources from the Middle East due to the war in Iran.
