Nothing good for Russia!” Billionaire reveals problems of the Russian economy due to the war in Iran

Billionaire Deripaska urged to abandon illusions due to the conflict in the Middle East.

The operation of Israel and the United States against Iran will bring nothing good for Russia, even considering the temporary rise in oil and gas prices, as well as the possibility of easing the sanctions regime. This opinion was shared with subscribers by billionaire Oleg Deripaska in his Telegram channel.

He explained that high energy resource prices will lead to a slowdown in the global economy, which means that interest in other Russian exports will decrease. The businessman considers the strong ruble to be particularly negative, as it has deprived "the main sectors of the Russian economy of competitiveness in foreign markets."

According to Deripaska, the only way out for Russia in this crisis will be an urgent reduction of the key interest rate to six percent within four to six months and a weakening of the national currency by a quarter, to the level of 105 rubles per dollar. "Otherwise, we will step on the same rake again," Deripaska warned.

In subsequent messages, he added that the growing desire of the population to transfer money into precious metals and accessible currencies also speaks to the prospects of the Russian economy. The billionaire also believes that soon Russians will be facing summer vacations in their gardens, "like in the good old days," while Argentina and Turkey, with their weak currencies, will pass through the upcoming crisis quite easily.
