Pilots of the German airline "Lufthansa" have decided to strike for the second time in the last month on Thursday and Friday, reports the union "Vereinigung Cockpit," according to LETA citing AFP.
The union indicates that the pilots' strike will affect flights of "Lufthansa" and "Lufthansa Cargo" departing from airports in Germany from March 12 at 00:01 (01:01 Latvian time) to March 13 at 23:59 (March 14 at 00:59 Latvian time).
Additionally, on Thursday, pilots from the "Lufthansa" subsidiary "CityLine" will also strike following unsuccessful negotiations for a new collective labor agreement.
Lufthansa pilots are demanding increased pension payments, and "Vereinigung Cockpit" explains that the airline has not made a new proposal since the strike last month.
Pilots of the airline, as well as flight attendants, already conducted a strike on February 12, which resulted in the cancellation of nearly 800 flights.
