The subsidiary of JSC "Latvijas dzelzceļš" (LDz) — LLC "LDz Cargo" — will again offer two diesel locomotives for purchase at electronic auctions in early March this year, according to information on the "LDz Cargo" website, LETA reports.
"LDz Cargo" will offer for purchase the diesel locomotives "2TE10M-3449" and "2TE10U-0218". The starting price of the auction for each locomotive is set at 160,000 euros, with a bidding increment of 100 euros.
At the previous auction, which took place at the end of January this year, the starting price for both locomotives was 177,600 euros.
The auction will be held from March 5 at 10:00 until March 6 at 12:00 on the electronic auction platform "auctioncargo.ldz.lv".
As reported, the turnover of "LDz Cargo" in 2024 amounted to 100.365 million euros, which is 25.3% less than in 2023, and the company's profit decreased several times to 29,219 euros.
During the reorganization in October last year, the subsidiaries of LDz — LLC "LDz ritošā sastāva serviss" and LLC "LDz loģistika" were merged into "LDz Cargo".
The LDz group also includes "LatRailNet", which establishes infrastructure fees and allocates the capacity of the railway infrastructure, and the security company "LDz apsardze".
