Anker has developed the world's first hybrid AI backup power system designed for home use. The Solix E10 system aims to completely relieve homeowners of worry during outages in the central power grid, providing autonomous operation of all devices in the home for several days. The E10 consists of several key components: an inverter, modular battery packs, solar panels, and a generator capable of running on propane, natural gas, and gasoline.
In the event of a failure in the central grid, switching to the Solix E10 occurs in just 20 milliseconds, making the transition seamless for the user and even not requiring a reboot of sensitive devices such as Wi-Fi routers or medical equipment. A more budget-friendly option is also available — the Smart Inlet Box for manual switching.
All components are housed in all-metal enclosures that are weather-resistant. They can withstand temperatures from -20 to +55 degrees Celsius, can be stacked, and mounted on walls, making them safe for use in flood-prone areas. The battery modules, each with a capacity of 6 kWh, can be charged both from the grid and from solar panels. The modules can be linked together to achieve a total capacity of up to 90 kWh. The generator automatically turns on when battery charge support is needed.
One E10 unit delivers up to 37.2 kW of power. When a second unit is connected, the total power increases to 66 kW. There is also a turbo output feature that allows for temporarily powering equipment up to 10 kW per unit for 90 minutes. According to Anker, a system with a maximum battery capacity of 90 kWh can power all outlets in a standard home for three days, and with economical use, this period can be extended to 15 days.
Sales will start on February 4, but pre-orders can be placed now. The base configuration, which includes an inverter and one battery, is priced at $4,299. A package with a generator and the automatic docking station Power Dock will cost $7,399.
