WSJ: Trump Wants to Lower Oil Prices to $50 per Barrel.
U.S. President Donald Trump wants to lower oil prices to $50 per barrel. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports this.
In addition, the American leader plans to take control of the Venezuelan state-owned company PDVSA.
According to the publication, the U.S. could gain partial control over PDVSA, including the purchase and resale of a significant portion of its oil — including through joint projects with Chevron.
It was previously reported that Trump's plan to revive Venezuela's oil infrastructure would cost $100 billion.
Before this, the head of the White House stated that the U.S. is currently thinking more about restoring Venezuela's oil infrastructure than about elections there.
