The optical cable damaged last week in the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Latvia near Liepaja has been repaired, and communication through it has been restored.
The "damage to the severed cable has been successfully resolved," the Lithuanian Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) reported on Wednesday.
According to the authority, communication services through the underwater cable were fully restored on Tuesday.
