The cost of goods imported to Latvia from Russia and Belarus has fallen by 3.1 times

The total value of goods imported from Russia and Belarus to Latvia over the ten months of this year decreased by 3.1 times, or 322.769 million euros, compared to the same period in 2024, amounting to 154.859 million euros, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau.

In the ten months of this year, goods worth 93.627 million euros were imported from Russia to Latvia, which is 3.7 times or 252.346 million euros less than in the ten months of 2024, and from Belarus - 61.232 million euros, which is 2.2 times or 70.422 million euros less than in the ten months of 2024.

At the same time, in the ten months of 2025, Latvia exported goods worth a total of 941.522 million euros to Russia and Belarus, which is 7.5% or 76.356 million euros less than in the ten months of 2024.

In the ten months of this year, Latvia exported goods worth a total of 832.368 million euros to Russia, which is 6.3% or 55.61 million euros less than in the same period last year, while exports to Belarus amounted to 109.154 million euros, which is 16% or 20.746 million euros less.

Data also shows that in the ten months of 2025, imports from Russia and Belarus accounted for 0.8% (2.6% in the corresponding period of 2024) of the total volume of imports to Latvia, while exports to Russia and Belarus accounted for 5.7% (6.5%) of the total volume of exports from Latvia.
