The management of one of the largest gas station networks in Latvia has changed

On Tuesday, December 9, changes occurred in the board of the company KOOL Latvija, which is engaged in fuel retail — Janna Logina became the chairperson of the board, and Dace Grinsone became a board member, the company reported.

J. Logina previously led the retail segment of the company and has accumulated significant experience in strategic and operational management. Throughout her career, she has worked at companies such as Tele2, Altum, Balta, and Swedbank, where she gained deep knowledge in customer experience formation, business process efficiency, and team management.

D. Grinsone previously held the position of head of marketing and communications at KOOL Latvija. Prior to that, she worked as the head of personal trainers at MyFitness, one of the largest fitness club networks in the Baltics, and this experience provided her with valuable insights into the operations of large companies and will be beneficial in her future work at KOOL Latvija.

"In outlining the future vision of the new board, I would like to emphasize the transparency of operations, the establishment of closer ties with customers, and, in particular, employee well-being issues," emphasizes the new chairperson J. Logina.

"As a company, we will be more open to public communication, as we not only want to operate with a transparent management system within the company but also to communicate more actively about processes, innovations, and changes within the company," notes D. Grinsone, speaking about the upcoming strategic and operational changes.

Since 2021, KOOL Latvija has been owned by the Estonian company Orelex. Its strategic director Alexey Shvedov, who has been responsible for the development of the company's projects in Latvia since September, commented on the planned changes: "We will build our operations based on three core values — professionalism, honesty, and mutual respect. I am fully confident that both company leaders, who are distinguished by their experience, high motivation, and competence, will successfully implement the necessary changes and give the company a new direction for development."

The new board of directors of KOOL Latvija expresses gratitude to the former board member and concept author Sandis Stein, who was one of the creators of this fuel retail network.

Currently, the KOOL Latvija network comprises 54 gas stations with retail stores and 14 automatic filling stations. In the first nine months of 2025, the company's net turnover amounted to 84,555,890 euros, and the number of employees reached 301.

KOOL Latvija was founded in October 2016 as a result of collaboration between local private investors and the alternative investment fund ZGI-3. The first gas station was opened in September 2017. The Estonian company Olerex, having acquired KOOL Latvija, became the only retailer of Baltic-origin fuel whose stations cover all three Baltic countries.
