The average producer price level in Latvian industry in October of this year compared to the same period in 2024 increased by 1.7%, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau.
The price level of products sold on the local market in October 2025 compared to October 2024 increased by 0.7%, while prices for exported products rose by 2.6%. Export prices to Eurozone countries increased by 3.8%, while exports to countries outside the Eurozone rose by 1.6%.
The price level for producers was most influenced over the year by rising prices in the mining and quarrying sector, wood production, wooden and cork products, several subclasses of food production, waste collection, processing and disposal, material recycling, production of non-metallic mineral products, as well as the production of chemicals and chemical products. A decreasing influence was exerted by falling prices in the production of computers, electronic and optical equipment.
In October 2025 compared to September, the producer price level in Latvian industry increased by 0.8%.
The price level of products sold on the local market rose by 0.7% over the month, while the price level for exported products increased by 0.9%. The price level for exports to Eurozone countries rose by 2.1%, while exports to countries outside the Eurozone decreased by 0.1%.
The overall increase in producer prices during the month was influenced by rising prices in the electricity, gas supply, heating, and air conditioning sectors, as well as in the mining and quarrying industry. A decreasing influence was exerted by falling prices in the production of wood, wooden and cork products.
