The interests of Latvian enterprises will be represented in 29 states.
The "Spotlight Latvia" conference for Latvian entrepreneurs took place in Washington, organized by the Latvian-American Chamber of Commerce (LACC). At the conference, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) and LACC regarding the representation of Latvian enterprises' interests and strengthening their export capacity in North America. "Although Latvia may seem small on the map, it is magnificent in terms of talent, knowledge, and innovative technologies," emphasized European Commission Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis during his speech at the conference.
The conference gathered over 200 Latvian and American entrepreneurs, representatives of government structures, and the academic community to strengthen cooperation in the fields of security, defense, energy, and digital services. American companies such as Anduril Industries, FedTech, AUVSI, Scout Ventures, Nvidia, Palantir Technologies, Meta, Google, AMS Group, Imprimatur, and others participated in the conference and related events. All these companies represent the fields of defense, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, energy, and technology.
"This trade mission and the 'Spotlight Latvia' conference will mark a new stage in the economic relations between Latvia and the USA. The signed agreement with the Latvian-American Chamber of Commerce regarding the representation of Latvian enterprises' interests in 29 states of the USA lays the foundation for much closer cooperation in the military industry, energy, digital services, and more. Meetings are planned with about 30 potential investors who will soon bring direct benefits to the Latvian economy," stated Minister of Economy Viktor Valainis at the opening of the conference.
