The least amount paid for coffee is by Tunisians – an average of only $0.56 per cup.
The Roasters coffee chain from Dubai sold the most expensive cup of coffee in the world for 2,500 UAE dirhams (about $680). The record has been officially confirmed by representatives of the Guinness World Records.
The drink was prepared manually using a V60 filter. Exclusive Panama Esmeralda Geisha beans, known for their floral and citrus notes, were used for brewing. The coffee was served in a special Edo Kiriko crystal glass, and themed desserts were offered to complement its flavor.
According to the Daily Mail, a major deal preceded this event: a Dubai startup related to the coffee shop acquired a 20-kilogram batch of Geisha beans from the Hacienda La Esmeralda plantation at the Best Of Panama 2025 auction for $604,000 just a week after its founding.
Establishing the coffee record is part of Dubai's overall strategy to strengthen the city's image as a hub of global achievements. Earlier, the opening of the tallest hotel in the world was announced, and a restaurant with an artificial intelligence chef was launched.

The least amount paid for coffee is by Tunisians – an average of only $0.56 per cup. Finns consume 12 kg of coffee per capita per year, more than any other country. Indians are the poorest coffee consumers: despite growing coffee, they consume only about 90 g per capita per year.
