Ikars

Ikars (the Latvian form of the name Icarus) comes from the Greek name Ικαρος (Ikaros). In mythology, Icarus was the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, who attempted to escape from the labyrinth on Crete using wings made of feathers and wax. However, Icarus flew too close to the sun, and his wings melted, leading to his fall. The name symbolizes the pursuit of freedom and dreams, but also serves as a reminder of the importance of caution and moderation.
