On September 2, a major bus accident occurred in eastern Sinai Peninsula, Egypt, resulting in the deaths of 16 people and injuries to another 28. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Health.
The accident occurred on the road connecting the popular tourist cities of Dahab and Nuweiba on the eastern coast of South Sinai. After the incident, 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to transport the injured to medical facilities.
