On the night of Wednesday, strikes on industrial facilities were recorded in several Russian regions. Fires are reported at an oil refinery in Samara and at an enterprise related to the production of components for military technology in Cheboksary.

Ukrainian strikes have once again affected targets on Russian territory. On Wednesday morning, reports emerged of fires at enterprises in the Samara region and Chuvashia.

According to the Telegram channel Astra, residents of Samara reported a series of explosions, after which thick smoke rose over the city. Videos and photographs published on social media show a fire at the oil refinery.

As of the time of publication, there was no official information on the extent of the damage.

Reports of explosions also came from Cheboksary. There, according to Ukrainian sources, the enterprise "VNIIR-Progress" was hit, after which a fire broke out on its premises.

This enterprise specializes in the production of various equipment for military technology, including control systems, electromechanical drives, and hydraulic components.

According to the Ukrainian Telegram channel Exile Nova, Flamingo missiles were used for the attack. Independent confirmation of this information is not yet available.

Such strikes on military and energy infrastructure targets deep within Russian territory are becoming increasingly regular. In recent months, Ukraine has repeatedly stated that it considers such facilities to be legitimate military targets, as they are used to support the Russian armed forces.

It is noteworthy that both facilities have been attacked previously. This may indicate that they continue to remain among the priority targets of Ukrainian operations.

What is important to understand is that in recent years, oil refineries and factories associated with military production have increasingly found themselves at the center of the confrontation. Such strikes can affect not only military logistics but also the functioning of specific industries.

At this time, Russian authorities have not reported any possible casualties or the full extent of the damage.

The situation surrounding the facilities in Samara and Cheboksary continues to develop, and information about the consequences of the strikes is being clarified.
