The organizers of the event in Ukraine are considered traitors.

Czech MEP Ondřej Knotek from the ANO party organized an event in the European Parliament featuring an organization that is described as pro-Russian and accused of promoting pseudoscience and conspiracy theories about aliens. According to the Brussels publication Politico, several Czech and Slovak MEPs filed a complaint against the presence of this controversial organization in the Parliament. However, the responsible body stated that there were insufficient grounds to initiate an investigation. Ondřej Knotek also rejected the criticism in comments to the ČTK agency.

In February 2026, the AllatRa Global Research Center held a conference on nanoplastics, in which Czech MEP Ondřej Knotek, belonging to the "Patriots for Europe" faction, participated. The event featured American pastor Mark Burns, a spiritual advisor to Donald Trump. The organization itself characterizes itself as an "international research analytical center dealing with global risks, systemic challenges in the field of the environment, human rights, and freedoms."

"The Global Research Center is linked to the religious movement 'AllatRa', founded in Ukraine and now based in the United States. The Security Service of Ukraine accused the center of 'justifying Russia's armed aggression' and stated that it 'publicly promoted Kremlin narratives... under the guise of 'missionary activity'. The foundational texts of 'AllatRa' state that extraterrestrial beings have long influenced human life. 'Novaya Gazeta Europe' reported: the group claims that all Slavic peoples 'will unite in the future, mainly thanks to a magical savior, a person whose description resembles Vladimir Putin,'" Politico writes.

Co-founder of the organization Igor Danilov is under investigation in Ukraine on suspicion of treason, participation in a criminal organization, and threats to national security. According to Politico, representatives of 'AllatRa' rejected the accusations that the organization is pro-Russian or connected to Russian disinformation networks. They added that the group condemns Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. They also pointed out that 'AllatRa' has been declared an extremist organization in Russia and reminded of a decision by a Kyiv court that rejected a ban on the center's activities. When asked about their belief in aliens, they did not provide a direct answer, dismissing claims of pseudoscience and conspiracy theories.

Ondřej Knotek also rejected the criticism. "The discussion was only about nanoplastics; there was not a single Russian or anti-Ukrainian narrative," said the Czech MEP.

The complaint against the presence of 'AllatRa' in the European Parliament was filed by Czech MEPs Danuše Nerudová and Jan Farský (STAN) from the European People's Party faction, as well as Slovak MEP Martin Hojsík. According to them, 'AllatRa' has 'repeatedly been characterized as an organization with pro-Russian views and connections to Russian disinformation networks.'

Members of parliament and groups can hold events in the premises of the European Parliament in cooperation with private companies and individuals. For these purposes, they are allocated a part of the budget and can request translation services and room rentals from the relevant bodies of the European Parliament.
