A man opened fire at the Washington Hilton hotel in Washington, where the White House Correspondents' Association reception was being held.
Among the attendees of the ceremonial dinner were U.S. President Donald Trump, his wife Melania, the country's Vice President J.D. Vance, and White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt. All of them were evacuated to a safe location after the sound of gunfire.
The United States Secret Service noted that no members of the American administration were harmed. It is emphasized that the President and First Lady of the United States are safe. The suspect in the shooting has been apprehended.
