The International Youth Programs Agency (JSPA) invites young people aged 18 and over to participate in the DiscoverEU initiative and gain a unique opportunity — a free travel pass for exploring Europe.
Applications can be submitted from April 8 to April 22 (until 1:00 PM Latvian time), right before European Youth Week. A total of over 40,000 young people will receive passes, including at least 174 from Latvia.
DiscoverEU is an initiative of the EU Erasmus+ program that gives young people the opportunity to travel across Europe, explore its cultural heritage, history, and meet people from different countries.
Young people born between July 1, 2007, and June 30, 2008, who are citizens or permanent residents of EU countries can participate in the spring 2026 round.
To participate, it is necessary to fill out a questionnaire on the European Youth Portal, answer quiz questions, and provide identification details. In the case of a group application, the group leader fills out the questions.
The pass will allow travel by eco-friendly transport (for example, by train). In certain cases — for residents of islands or remote regions — other modes of transport, such as bus or ferry, may also be possible.
