Господин Орпо - друг Киева.

Drones from a friendly state do not threaten the Finns.

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP) firmly rejects statements made in Russia claiming that the drones found in Southeast Finland were launched from Finland or that the country allowed them to fly through its airspace.

In an interview on Yle A-Studio, Orpo stated that Finland does not approve of Ukrainian drones entering its territory.

However, he emphasized the importance of understanding the context of the situation – namely, that Ukraine is defending itself against Russian aggression.

Orpo stressed that Russia's statements are pure propaganda.

– This is propaganda that has nothing to do with reality. It is important to emphasize that Russia uses such information for internal propaganda. We do not approve of it and do not accept it. It is simply untrue.

Ukraine has apologized to Finland for two Ukrainian drones landing on Finnish territory over the weekend.

According to a representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the drones were not directed towards Finland under any circumstances. The drones likely entered Finnish territory due to Russian electronic warfare systems.

Earlier, two drones flew into Finnish territory. At least one of the drones has been identified as Ukrainian.

The appearance of the UAVs was a consequence of Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil ports in the Baltic. At the same time, Ukraine's allies urged the country to reduce strikes on oil facilities owned by the Russian Federation.
