Poland has extended border control with Germany and Lithuania until October 1.
The Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration has decided to maintain border control at its borders with EU neighbors for another six months. The main reason is the strengthening of security measures and the fight against illegal migration, reports the International Polish Radio.
Over the past week, more than 56,000 people have been checked at both borders. Entry into Poland was denied to 37 individuals.
Authorities emphasize that such measures are necessary to maintain internal order. Travelers should consider possible delays when crossing the border and always carry their documents.
