U.S. Special Representative Steve Witkoff has stated that there are signs of a 'turning point' in negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine. He made this announcement during a broadcast on CNBC.

According to Witkoff, the negotiation process between Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. is ongoing, although it is progressing more slowly than former U.S. President Donald Trump had expected. He noted that the trilateral meeting planned for this week has been postponed to next week.

"The process is moving forward. I think the trilateral meeting will be postponed to next week. We are feeling positive and will maintain optimism. This is a war that needs to end," he stated.

Witkoff also noted that both sides of the conflict may be exhausted from prolonged hostilities. In his opinion, this could indicate the beginning of a turning point in negotiations that could bring the end of the war closer.

He added that a similar situation was previously observed in the Middle East, where the fatigue of the parties involved in the conflict became a factor for initiating the negotiation process.
