U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday that he had an inspiring conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin about ending the war initiated by Moscow against Ukraine, LETA reported citing AFP.
"We talked about Ukraine, where there is just an endless struggle," Trump told reporters, adding that, in his opinion, the conversation on this issue was still positive.
After this conversation and the mention of Chinese President Xi Jinping, he also stated that to prevent panic in the market and a sharp rise in prices caused by the war in Iran, the U.S. would lift some sanctions related to oil trade.
