The North Atlantic Alliance will not participate in the operation of the United States and Israel in Iran. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a broadcast on the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC.
"No, this is clearly a campaign led by the United States and Israel," he responded to the relevant question.
The Secretary General of the alliance emphasized that Iran posed a threat both to its neighbors and to Europe and Ukraine. For this reason, he said, European leaders are "extremely pleased" with the strikes on Iran.
He also noted that US President Donald Trump is the leader of the free world and is making it safer.
Earlier, Rutte stated that the US military operation in Iran is in its initial stages and may take several weeks. He also noted that he supports US actions regarding Iran.
