Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about returning to the borders of 1991. He stated this in an interview with the BBC.

"Therefore, at this moment, it is impossible," he acknowledged. Zelensky also expressed the opinion that territorial concessions from Kyiv would lead to a split in Ukrainian society.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the decision on the territorial issue should be made by the Ukrainian people through voting. In his opinion, the voting could take place in the format of elections or a referendum. At the same time, Zelensky emphasized that his position on concessions remains unchanged, describing it with the words "we stand where we stand."
