35% of Germans are currently convinced that the former Chancellor of Germany performed his duties better than his successor Merz.
Scholz is more liked by the residents of Germany than Merz, Deutsche Welle reports today.
However, they rate the work of the new government in the areas of defense and migration higher than that of the previous one. Currently, 35% of Germans are convinced that the former Chancellor of Germany performed his duties better than his successor Merz. These are the results of an INSA survey commissioned by Bild on the eve of the anniversary of the early parliamentary elections in Germany, which resulted in the "black-red" coalition replacing the "traffic light" coalition.
22% of INSA respondents in Germany believe that the current Chancellor is doing a better job than his predecessor. Meanwhile, 33% of respondents did not see a significant difference between their performances.
At the same time, according to those surveyed, the new government of Friedrich Merz has achieved better results in defense (32% versus 18%) and in limiting migration (30% versus 22%). In contrast, the previous ruling coalition performed better in stimulating the economy, reducing bureaucracy, and easing the tax burden, according to the INSA survey.
