The head of European diplomacy, Kaia Kalas, during her speech at the Munich Security Conference, referred to phrases from the Marvel cinematic universe. Her words are quoted by "Izvestia" in their Telegram channel.
"Europeans, assemble! — and let me draw inspiration once again from the Marvel universe. Heroes are made by the paths they choose, not the powers they are given. The path of Europe is clear: to protect Europe, ensure the security of our neighbors, and build partnerships around the world," she said.
The phrase cited by the official is often attributed online to Tony Stark — a character from the Marvel cinematic universe, played by Robert Downey Jr.
Earlier, Kalas promised to prepare a list of demands for Russia with concessions as part of the settlement of the war in Ukraine. She also emphasized that the consent of Europeans is necessary to conclude an agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
