Iran's Response to Possible US Attack Becomes Known 0 15

In the event of a US attack on Iran, Tehran plans to respond symmetrically by targeting American military bases. This was revealed during a speech by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi at an Al Jazeera forum in Doha, Qatar.

"We do not have the capability to attack American territory if Washington attacks us, so we will target its bases in the region," the foreign minister said.

He noted that, in his opinion, this would not be considered an attack on neighboring states, as the targets would specifically be American bases with American citizens.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump commented on the negotiations with Iran. He noted that the parties had come closer to finalizing a deal. According to him, the next meeting with representatives from Tehran will take place early next week.
