INSA: about 70% of residents in Germany are dissatisfied with the government and Chancellor Merz.

The majority of residents in Germany are dissatisfied with the work of the Federal Government and Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The share of dissatisfied Germans, according to a survey by the INSA sociological institute, was reported by the newspaper Bild.

Sixty-seven percent of respondents are dissatisfied with the politician from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) — five percentage points more than last week. Only 23 percent of respondents are satisfied with his work. Ten percent refrained from giving an assessment.

The current government of Germany, consisting of the CDU/CSU bloc and the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), also lacks support. Sixty-eight percent of the population is dissatisfied with its work (an increase of two percentage points over the week). Only 22 percent of respondents are satisfied with the government's performance (a decrease of three points).
