Former politician and head of the Northern Europe Policy Center Artis Pabriks, in an interview with TV-24, urged not to deceive oneself or others: there will be no security guarantees that would satisfy Ukraine.

"Read the military strategy and security strategy of the United States! What does it say? It says that the U.S. is ready to provide Europe with a nuclear shield - in case of a nuclear threat, but for conventional threats, Europe should handle it on its own. So, does that mean that the U.S. will provide Ukraine with more guarantees than its own allies? This is impossible! I personally do not believe in such guarantees," stated Artis Pabriks.
