The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has protested against the interrogations of employees of Chinese companies in the U.S.
China has expressed strong protest regarding the unjustified detentions and interrogations of employees of Chinese companies upon entering the U.S. This was stated by the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian.
According to the diplomat, recently, U.S. law enforcement agencies have repeatedly conducted lengthy and unjustified interrogations, detentions, and deportations of employees of Chinese companies. "China expresses strong dissatisfaction and resolute protest in this regard," said Lin Jian.
He accused American law enforcement agencies of harsh methods that violate the legal rights of Chinese citizens and undermine the business atmosphere between the countries. The diplomat urged Washington to immediately cease such actions and warned that Beijing would continue to take all necessary measures to protect its citizens.
