The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom called on King Charles III's brother to testify in the Epstein case

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the younger brother of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, 65-year-old Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, should testify before the U.S. Congress in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, Reuters reports.

“Anyone who has information should be ready to share it in any form they are asked. It is impossible to focus on the interests of the victims if you are not prepared for that,” said Starmer, speaking to reporters on January 31.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor did not respond to a request from Reuters. Buckingham Palace declined to comment.

The British Prime Minister made this statement after the U.S. Department of Justice released a new series of documents related to the Epstein case. These included emails showing that Andrew communicated with Epstein for more than two years after the financier was convicted of sexual crimes against children in 2008.

The published materials also included photographs showing Andrew kneeling and touching the waist of a woman lying on the floor. The woman's face in the photographs has been retouched.

Documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice indicate that Andrew regularly corresponded with Epstein, including discussing potential business deals, social gatherings, and women that the financier offered to introduce to the prince. In one email, Epstein suggested bringing three women to Buckingham Palace, Reuters notes.

Andrew was friends with Jeffrey Epstein. The brother of the British king denied any involvement in the American financier's crimes and stated that he ceased communication with him after Epstein was sentenced in 2008. According to him, they met in New York in 2010 — but only to end their relationship.
