“I, Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, recognize that the situation with Cuba constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States,” the order states. The same document indicates that the U.S. may impose tariffs on goods from countries supplying oil to Cuba.

The Financial Times reported on January 29 that Cuba has enough oil for 15-20 days after halting supplies from Venezuela.
