Costa stated that the EU is preparing a response to Trump's tariffs over Greenland.
The European Union (EU) is developing a collective response from its member states to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement regarding the imposition of tariffs on certain European countries, said European Council President António Costa to the press.
"We need to create zones of economic integration, not raise tariffs. The European Union will always firmly uphold international law," Costa emphasized.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 10 percent tariff against several EU countries due to the situation surrounding Greenland. In addition to several EU member states, the tariffs also affected the United Kingdom and Norway.
