The head of European Union (EU) diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, commenting on U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to impose tariffs against several EU countries over the Greenland dispute, expressed concern that this could lead to the impoverishment of Europe and America. She shared her opinion on the social network X.
According to the diplomat, Russia and China are allegedly benefiting from the disagreements among allies.
"Tariffs threaten to lead to the impoverishment of Europe and the United States and undermine our shared prosperity," she wrote.
Earlier, Trump announced 10 percent tariffs against several EU countries due to Greenland.
